Opening times

The Nursery is open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, and only closed for Bank Holidays. We also close between the Christmas and New Year break, each year.

Session times

We offer flexible sessions to suit the needs of the children and their parents.

Prices

Fees are £4.50 per hour

We are not the most expensive around, that's for sure! But, we prefer to think of value for money, rather than worry about price.

This is an overused cliche, but it is a truism at Hopscotch.

We put a lot of effort into benchmarking the progression of your child and we do this with you! This means that, in return for your money, we will deliver clear & measurable development of your child.

What price could you put on this? Incidentally, funding assistance is available for all 3 year olds.

We are happy to discuss prices further with you when you visit on your initial 'show around' appointment and we accept all work scheme vouchers from your employers that may save you money.

You dictate what hours you would like your child to attend to ensure its appropriate for you, however we do ask for a minimum of 3 hours per session.

Lunchtime arrangements

Our up-to-date menus cater for all tastes, cultures and requirements and the detailed planning of menus reflects how serious we take this strand of your child's care. We serve lunch between 12noon and 1pm at the following rates:

Packed lunch (supplied by you)Just the hourly rate
Hot cooked lunch (supplied by Hopscotch)£1.00 + Hourly rate

Holiday Entitlement

The holiday year commences each September and this is when your entitlement begins. To explain your entitlement, we use two expressions here at Hopscotch:

1. 'Full-time care', which means that your child is in our care for 51 weeks of the year (with one week compulsory shut down during the Xmas break)

2. 'Term-time care', which means your child is only with us for 38 weeks of the year. We apply the phrase 'term time' because it implies you only want your child to attend nursery for those periods of the year when schools are actually IN session (or in term-time). Your child would not therefore, be with us during summer holidays or half-term.

If your child attends Nursery on a 'term-time' basis, we levy a fee of 25% of the normal session fees you pay for your child during school holiday periods.
